- Begin at Waveland Clock Tower
- Ride south through the parking lot and turn east (left) then south (right). Ride about 20 ft "off-road" to reach sidewalk heading south past "Doggie Harbor" an unofficial dog park between the path and the Lake.
- Continue south to roadway. Turn right on road until it crosses the bike path. Turn left onto sidewalk alongside the harbor. Ride south on sidewalk (NOT the bike path) past Dog Beach (unofficial also)
- Continue to Belmont, exit the park and turn North (right) on
- Lake Shore Drive W. which becomes Marine Drive by the time we reach Margate Park at Lawrence Avenue DFA #1: UPTOWN PUPTOWN 2.88 mi
- South on Marine, jog over to Clarendon/Halsted- turn right (west) on Sheridan Road - see proposed DFA at Gill Park, then continue on Sheridan past Sheffield where it becomes Byron. Narrow park along cemetary usually frequented by dogs (also unofficial), and take a look at Alta Vista - a unique street.
- Turn left on Grace one block to
- Kenmore (Wrigley Field) Kenmore right one block to
- Waveland, left one block to
- Sheffield. (right) south to WIGGLEY FIELD on Sheffield & Schubert: DFA#2 6.00 mi
- Sheffield continue south to
- Wrightwood West (right) to
- Greenview North (right) to
- Barry West (left) to
- Hoyne South (turn left) to
- 8.5 mi. HAMLIN PARK DFA#3 (SW corner of park)
- Hoyne continue South to
- Clybourn Southeast (left) to
- Damen South (right) to
- Cortland East (left) to
- Marshfield South (right) to
- 1721 N Marshfield WALSH PARK DFA#4 10.5 mi
- Leave Park via Bloomingdale (street that is only a sidewalk north of the raised train tracks) to
- Paulina North (right) to
- Cortland West (left) to
- Damen South (left) to
- Churchill & Damen DFA#5 on left CHURCHILL PARK 11.1 mi
- Continue south on Damen to
- Wicker Park E (left) to DFA#6 WICKER PK 11.7 mi.
- Veer left to continue East to
- Milwaukee, SE(right) on Milwaukee, then jog left on
- Beach St. and turn right on
- Ashland (south) to
- Blackhawk East (left) to unofficial DFA PULASKI PARK
- Take Noble South (right) to
- Division St. East (left) to
- Elston Southeast (right) to
- Milwaukee Southeast (left)
- turn rt Des Plaines St south
- Turn left onto Roosevelt Road east
- Turn right onto Wabash Ave.south South on Wabash to
- 16th St. COLISEUM PARK DFA#7,
- turn right to go north State St.
- turn right to go east on Congress
- turn left in front of the Buckingham Fountain to go north on Columbus
- Turn right on Jackson and get on sidewalk to press pedestrian WALK button to cross LSD and return via the Bike Path to Waveland Clock Tower
approx. 24 miles.
